Cyber Station Manager (CSM)
Introduction:
Cyber Station Manager (CSM) is an ideal solution for management and operation of Internet cafés. It provides scientific and effective assistance to Internet cafés’ owners, saving time and money. To meet your expectations, CSM archives all information about your Internet café’s revenue, records in detail all in-café charges and transactions, blocks “blacklist” websites, automatically saves all Internet browsing history of clients, and much more. These functions are more than enough to ensure strict compliance with current Vietnamese laws and regulations regarding the administration of Internet cafés.
CSM consists of two components:
- CSM Server: Run with MySQL DBMS and installed onone PC to manage other PCs on a LAN
- CSM Client: Used for all workstations on a LAN

Principal Functions Of CSM:
SERVERSIDE:
- Permits user rights sharing to help administer business within the Internet cafe, with separate admin and user levels
- Manages membership as well as anonymous (bypassing users) records. You can also customize promotion schemes applicable for either members or anonymous users. This function clearly shows when the promotions take effect and when they expire.
- Manages in-café food and drink catering charges and timed use fees.
- Allows registration for membership accounts.
- Allows fee transferal from one workstation to another.
- Facilitates the user-debit filter which helps separately manage member debits and anonymous debits for easy control and payment collection.
- Restricts all “blacklist” websites upon detection.
- Application restriction: closes all hidden applications placed on System Tray which attempt to start.
- Server log: stores start-up and shut-down history of CSM on the Server as well as café assistants’ log-in and application locking history.
- Web history: stores records of all visited websites from all workstations.
- Remotely updates CSM at all workstations (to version 4.2.1 or later if any) directly from the server.
- Creates back-ups, restores data, and repairs corrupted files.
- Data reduction: customizes the time limit within which CSM data and logs (web history, system logs, and transaction logs) and back-up data are stored automatically.
- Prepares reports of fee receipts collected by each Internet café assistant as well as on a shift by shift basis.
- Permits the alteration of a client’s payment methods from pay-after-use method to prepaid method.
- Creates fee transferring logs: enables Clients to see detailed logs of their fee transferings as well as of other services’ fees.
- Upgrades CSM Server:
This function permits CSM users to upgrade the software to the latest version automatically.
- Displays debits at workstations:
This function shows workstations that have been used by anonymous users whose fees are unpaid (pay-after-use clients); or prepaid using hours which are not used up. This function reduces the risk of data loss in the event of power failure. In the event of a power failure, the Internet café owner should use a temporary electricity source (for example: UPS) to start the server and run CSM Server, then utilize the “show unpaid workstations” function and collect debit payments.
- Anonymous user management:
This function is in compliance with regulations passed by the Vietnam Ministry of Post and Telecommunications about the management of bypassing guests who access Internet at Internet public cafés.
CLIENTSIDE:
- Detects and removes key loggers, adjusts mouse settings, and sets screen resolution.
- Helps close applications, especially hidden processes in the system tray.
Adaptability And Compatibility:
CSM is compatible with virtually all Windows Operational Systems, such as Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, etc.
Upgrading:
CSM is being upgraded and improved by VinaGame. When an update is available, users need to download and update the CSM server-side, then use the client upgrade utility in order to update CSM to the new version.
