World Hegemony is a Web-based game set amidst the Three Kingdoms period (220 – 280 AD) in ancient Chinese history. This romanized era witnessed the weakened Han Dynasty and unceasingly civil power struggles among the warlords across China. That is the right point for players to start off their heroic journeys. In different user-chosen character roles, they will roam vast territories of then-China, construct castles, appealed for volunteer army, boost production to add wealth to their own lands, and conquer the rest.

The player chooses a character in one of three major kingdoms Wei, Shu, and Wu. Each of these powers has its own strengths and weaknesses.

Some among legendary characters available in the game include:

+ Zhao Yun: a major military general during the civil wars who served Liu Bei to many triumphs. Portrayed as a never-say-die official, he rode his horse alone right into the siege of thousands of Cao Cao’s soldiers and fought relentlessly.  

+ Zhou Yu: one of the most capable military Commanders of the time whose intelligence and bravery were both outstanding. Killed by poisoned arrows, he was still remembered as a talented figure in the Three Kingdoms era.

+ Zhuge Liang: the most genus strategist of this era whose sagacity has been retold beyond the time.

Soon after the OB release in China mainland, World Hegemony captured the attention of the industry and gamers. It once rose to top of the ranking chart for the category of web-games in domestic market.
