Title Community orientation in review
When it comes to organizing a company birthday, every business has its own way. As a common trend, the varied celebrating styles somehow reflect the development orientations of different businesses, which were determined as their foundation stones were laid. Basing on community-driven orientation, a Vietnamese young company opted to ‘uniting’ activities to tighten the thread of union among its staff in the event of its third birthday. That’s VinaGame. With 800 participants, VinaGame’s third anniversary was really exotic and special, marking the commencement of the next development stage of the company.  
 
In the event held during two consecutive days (September 15th and September 16th of 2007), the Management of the Company together with 600 employees, friends, and affiliations stayed in Vuon Xoai (Mango Garden) Tourism Zone (in Dong Nai province) for the annual team-building outing named ‘VinaGame Colors’. The chance was to review achievements gained during the long pathway where constant effort went into building VinaGame brand as the leader of online entertainment and service in the minds of Vietnamese customers. The event also marked an important milestone for the next progress of VinaGame.
 
One of the meaningful activities of the outing was the ‘Pink Birthday Night’, when the Management called for all employees and affiliations to abide the Decree 32 passed by the Vietnamese Prime Minister. The Decree says that since September 15th 2007 all motorbike riders must wear helmets on all streets. Most notably, the Company spent more than 100 million dong to purchase motorbike insurances and as many as 800 helmets, all well qualified for TCVN (Vietnam Standardized Quality) 5756:2005, for all VinaGame’s and affiliated companies’ employees. The purposes are encouraging them to comply with the Government-passed regulation and calling for engagement in activities beneficial to a community of safety, civility, and discipline.  ‘Every single helmet we handed over is not only a call for law abiding attitude from the employees but also conveys VinaGame’s love and respect towards them. We consider every single man and woman working under the same roof as our most precious property. And this property needs care and protection. I think when our employees ride on the streets with the prudent helmets on their heads; they will be reminded of VinaGame’s love and respect. Hopefully, in this way, they will stay with VinaGame, work for VinaGame, and return to VinaGame to enjoy human warmth and safety’ shares Miss. Vu Anh, VinaGame’s Human Resource Manager.
 
As part of the ‘Pink Birthday Night’ was the official ‘opening’ announcement of VinaGame Foundation, the Company’s Charity Fund. Actually, the Fund had been established quite long beforehand from the contribution and donation of the benevolent Management, employees, friends, affiliations, partners, and gamers. The Company’s leaders also took the chance to announce of 1 billion dong of initial donation taken from the Company’s budget and appeal for donation from all employees, affiliations, friends, and gamers. The heads also reviewed all implemented charity activities and put forward the strategies for next operations of the Fund.
Besides, the holiday was really vitalized by a number of exciting ‘in-family’ entertainment activities and contests organized and participated by the employees themselves. Specially, the ‘Pink Birthday Night’ left some impressions when gifts were given to 50 employees whose birthdays are in September.
 
That is to say, the most significant milestone of VinaGame was in the summer of 2005 when the Company made a great leap in Vietnamese online game market with its publishing of the famous wu-xia romantic MMORPG Swordsman Online (Vo Lam Truyen Ky). Vo lam Truyen Ky soon became the most popular game in Vietnam. VinaGame then respectively introduced North European legend-themed MMORPG Raganrok, the wu-xia 3D MMORPG Nine Dragons, MMORPG First Myth, and casual game Boom Online to Vietnamese gamer community.
 
Since the release of Swordsman Online in Vietnam, VinaGame’s effort in the promotion of Internet penetration in Vietnam has been highly appreciated by experts and the public attention has been drawn to the potential and challenging Vietnamese online game market. VinaGame’s next motion was in e-commerce field, marked by the official grand opening of the online supermarket 123mua! in the summer of 2006. Just one year later, 123mua! became a highly competitive website. It was granted the prestigious Sao Khue award for ‘Best E-commerce Solution in Vietnam’ in an formal awarding ceremony held on April 22nd 2007 at Hanoi Grand Opera House. In August 2007, 123mua! introduced the new payment service ultilizing F@st Vietpay, Techcombank’s payment gateway, plus some other advantegeous online payment methods.  
 
Also in the summer of 2006, VinaGame joined software business market when it released Cyber Station Manager (CSM), an Internet Cafe’ Management Software. CSM is a freeware installed in over 7000 Internet rooms which meet all quality requirements of VinaGame. Its current upgraded version 4.2.5 is currently available. This is seen as VinaGame’s committment to support Internet cafes’ in the most scientific and effective way.
